Special Needs
- Persons with special needs are permitted to select
the seats considered most appropriate to their needs
and in compliance with Transport Canada regulations.
We do suggest that requests for seating or other special
services be made in advance of the flights by advising
your travel consultant at least 48 hours prior to
flight departure.
- Wheelchairs and aids to mobility are accepted free
of charge. Wherever possible, the passenger would
use their own wheelchair up to the door of the aircraft
from which point it would be stowed in the hold. On
arrival, every attempt is made to have the personal
wheelchair available at the door. This is dependant
on the airport of operation.
- Skyservice is not able to accept wheelchairs or
mobility aids with spillable (wet) batteries.
- Service animals are accepted on board with a harness.
A service animal is defined as a certified working
animal wearing a harness and trained to assist a permanent
or long-term disabled person.
- Passengers must present the training certificate
for the animal prior to travel.
- Service animals will not be carried unless proper
permits are obtained for entry into the countries
of transit or final destination, and such permits
are presented prior to commencement of travel.
Please check with your travel consultant regarding
travel regulations for these animals.
- At pre-boarding, passengers with service animals
will board the aircraft in priority.
- To ensure sufficient floor space for the animal,
a bulkhead row, window seat is normally assigned and
it is recommended that the passenger pre-select this
seat at the time of booking.
- Ministry of Transportation Safety Regulations do
not permit passengers with disabilities to be seated
at an emergency exit row.
- Passengers traveling with the disabled may need
to purchase an advanced seat if they wish to sit together.
Please see Advanced
Seating for further details.
- Please note that Skyservice Airlines endeavours
to provide a peanut free environment. As catering
is prepared by outside sources, we are unable to guarantee
there will be no cross contamination of foods. Therefore,
Skyservice Airlines cannot provide meals which are
guaranteed to be free of nuts. We strongly recommend
that passengers suffering from food allergies advise
Skyservice in advance and in addition bring their
own food for the duration of the flight. Please be
advised that Skyservice does sell cashews on board
the flights.
