Delayed Baggage
The Property Irregularity Report that you
have completed begins the trace for your bag. Details of your baggage
are entered into a computerized baggage tracing system. Most baggage,
which is delayed, is located within a 48-hour period. Once the bag(s)
is found, it will be delivered to you, unless local customs regulations
do not allow this.
Interim Compensation Guidelines while in
your vacation destination:
In the period that your bag is missing
in your vacation destination, interim compensation will be offered,
upon return from your vacation. The guidelines are as follows:
- A maximum of $50.00 CAD per bag per day, based on receipts provided for necessary
purchases made.
- The maximum interim compensation offered is up to $350.00CAD, only when supported
by receipts, calculated as mentioned above.
Any interim compensation will
be deducted from the final
settlement of the claim in
the unlikely event that your
luggage is declared lost.
A claim for interim compensation
in the case of a delayed bag
must be made within 30 days
of the occurrence. To do so,
please complete this form and
mail it along with your receipts,
a cover letter and the property
irregularity report that you
filled at the airport to Customer
Relations, 31 Fasken Drive,
Etobicoke, ON, M9W 1K6 or fax

with tariff regulations, similar
to other airlines, is not liable
for loss, damage to, or delay
in delivery of fragile items
including any kinds of electronic
equipment, cameras, laptops,
etc. or perishables, jewellery,
silverware, valuables, money,
negotiable papers, securities,
samples of/or business documents
and tools of business or trade.
We will not be liable for any
items if baggage was not locked
with a combination or key lock. |
